Statement:
My current work reflects on relationships, memory, and experiences with the supernatural. The materials I use such as paper, magazine clippings, pencil and marker feel familiar and relaxed. I use them to create colorful images that are often distorted and textured, but also other-worldly and a little silly. Images I use throughout my work reference UFOs, portals, and ghosts of friends that are long gone.

I want the viewer to ponder their own experiences with the supernatural. Were these experiences grand and spectacular, or were they quiet and calm moments, almost mundane? I don’t think any special elements or circumstances are needed to experience things outside ourselves, we just must be open to receiving them.
